A tea cup, coffee cup, and saucer in Chamberlains Worcester pattern #153, gorgeously painted with roses and elaborate gilding. The bottom, of the saucer has an unusual gilded "P." mark.

The saucer has a 5 1/2" diameter, one cup is 2 1/2" tall with a rim diameter of 2 3/4" and a foot diameter of 2". The second cup is 2 5/8" tall with a rim diameter of 3 3/8" and a foot diameter of 2 1/4". Condition is excellent with no repairs or cracks. Some very minor tiny gilt losses...

An exceptionally wonderful example of this well-known and highly collected historical Staffordshire scene, with the added bonus of being in the very rare form of a shaped tray. This piece is 10" in length and 5 3/4" in width,with the impressed Clews mark on the reverse. A pair of black papier mache wine bottle coasters, each beautifully hand painted with a colorful bird within a red and gilt cartouche. The form is quite rare, with more common versions made of silver or silver plate. Because of the date, and the quality exhibited in these, it is quite probable that they were made by Jennens and Bettridge (fl. 1815-1864), the English firm most respected for this type work.

A beautiful double series opaque twist (DSOT) firing glass of dram size. The ogee bowl leads into a stem containing a central pair of spiral tapes with an 11 ply band outside of them. outside of an inner gauze.

An unusual foil, or tinsel, painting depicting two birds hovering over a large flowering plant. The painting is done basically in tones of taupe and green. The frame is period and is most likely original. The back is sealed with paper that appears to have been a student's calligraphy practice.

A fine and early Bow porcelain Blanc de Chine thinly potted chocolate or coffee cup with raised prunus blossoms.

Excellent condition with no cracks, losses or restoration. Compared to the usual height of Bow coffee cups of this form and period, which is approximately 2 9/16", the example offered here is 5/8" taller, at 3 3/16". The bowl diameter is 3". A superb and rare piece.

An uncommon form (only one or two were part of a full service), made by Worcester in the Dr. Wall period. The design has a central rose surrounded by garlands of flowers in cartouches, all done in a soft European palette. Alternating with these cartouches are others that are pure white, making this decoration very unusual. The background of the dish is, of course, the desirable blue scale made so famous by Worcester.

A fine tinsel, or foil, painting. The relatively uncommon subject matter is a basket of fruit, nicely reverse painted on glass with tinsel backing. What unfortunately doesn't show well in the photo, because of the lighting, is the bunch of grapes directly under the basket.

The painting is in very good condition, with what is probably its original gilded frame and wood backing. The overall size is 16" by 14".

A beautiful decanter set composed of 3 barrel shaped decanters, each heavily cut and retaining the original target stoppers. The stand is electroplate silver and of elegantly molded trefoil form, with rings to hold the stoppers.
