Lead glass; round funnel bowl, inverted baluster knop with multiple tears above a flattened knop above a large inverted baluster knop with a tear, basal knop. Rough snapped pontil. A beautiful pair of antique wine glasses of the light baluster form. Although these are smaller than the usual form for a Newcastle light baluster, the proportion of the pointed round funnel bowls to the stems suggests that they are, in fact, an uncommon pair of NLB's. The bowls have engraved foliate borders, each stem with a shoulder knop, a medial angular knop, and a basal true baluster knop. Gently domed folded feet with rough snapped pontils.

Strong domed with rough, snapped pontil. Height 6 inches, bowl diameter 2 1/2 inches, foot diameter 3 inches. Superb condition.

An uncommon, beautiful, and elegant baluster drinking glass, with a bell bowl engraved on the top half with fruiting vine decoration. The bowl has a solid base and surmounts a stem with a collar knop and a large drop knop atop a basal cushion knop.

An antique Georgian balustroid drinking glass featuring a bell bowl over a shoulder annulated knop. Further, there is medial teared inverted baluster knop and a basal knop. The foot is domed and folded with a rough snapped pontil.

No condition issues and standing 5 3/8" tall, with a bowl diameter of 2" and a foot diameter of 2 1/4".

A well proportioned and elegant baluster wine glass dating from the period of George I. This fine example features a trumpet bowl over a collar directly over an annulated knop. The stem leads into a true baluster knop over a short section over a folded foot with a rough, snapped pontil.

This is an extremely fine early 19th century balustroid wine glass made in the 18th century style. It is lead glass, and has a large funnel bowl which sits atop a triple ring collar, below which is a center section of an unusual and uncommon cylinder knop, followed by two angular knops. An extremely fine and tall Newcastle light baluster (NLB) type wine glass. The generous, slightly flaring, pointed round funnel bowl is beautifully Dutch engraved with the armorial coat of arms of Princess Anne, daughter of George II, and wife of Prince William IV, the "Prince of Orange."
