A beautiful Chaffers coffee can decorated with Chinese figures. Grooved loop handle. 2 1/2 inches tall, 2 3/8 inch diameter.

This is an extremely fine example of a Lowestoft tea canister, made in the 1775 - 1780 period. It is of rectangular form with sloped shoulders and a molded ridge following the outline of the sloping portion. The printed design features flowers and insects. An open crescent mark is on the underneath.

A superb and graceful example of First Period Dr. Wall Worcester porcelain. The patterns on it are "La Peche" and "La Promenade Chinoise," both of which were done by Robert Hancock. Although Caughley did a very similar variation, this piece was definitely made by Worcester.

A lovely Chaffers Liverpool bowl, decorated with peonies issuing from hollow rockwork, a red bird on a branch. and an insect to the reverse. Chaffers, even more so than the more common Liverpool factories, has seen a substantial and lightning growth in interest and value, especially for items in good condition. This charming tea bowl is decorated with a Chinoiserie scene with three figures, one of them holding a bird. It dates from around 1775, and exemplifies the motifs that were so popular in that period. The interior has an iron-red border and sprig at the bottom of the bowl.

The bowl is 3 1/8" in diameter and 1 3/4" high. Condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, restorations, etc. There is some speckling, which is not at all uncommon, and the green in the robe of one of the figures fire...

This is a wonderful pair of Derby putti disguised as flower sellers, dating from the 1770 period. The figures are mirror images of each other, as true pairs should be. Each putti has a basket of flowers over one arm, while a single flower is held in the hand of the other arm. The height is 5 1/2", considerably larger than the usual putti. The bottoms display the patch marks typical of Derby during this period of manufacture.
