A beautiful pineapple molded Bristol porcelain coffee cup, decorated with polychrome sprigs of flowers, the interior with an iron-red double border.

The condition of the cup is factory fresh, with absolutely no problems of any type. The height is 2 5/8", with a diameter of 2 1/2".

A finely painted watercolor portrait of a good looking gentleman wearing a black jacket and a white shirt, stock and collar. The talented artist specifically painted the entire piece in shades of white, black, and gray. Note the way he used white highlighting on the left collar and shoulder of the sitter to give a sense of depth to the piece.

The 3/4 length depiction shows the sitter holding a handkerchief and wearing a lace trimmed white bonnet, white lace fichu, and a red scarf over a black puff-sleeve dress with gold buttons. The painting and the gilt metal case are in excellent condition. Sight size is 1 5/8" by 1 1/4", and the case size is 2 1/4" by 1 1/2".

A charming miniature portrait, done in watercolor on natural wafer, and mounted in a later 14K gold ring with an impressed maker's mark of "MP". The sitter is a young red-haired child, facing left, and wearing a black dress with a dotted lace ruffled collar.

A fine sweetmeat with a double ogee bowl with a slightly everted rim. The bowl is atop a bladed knop, below which is a hollow 8 sided molded pedestal stem. At the bottom of the stem are 4 merises above a nicely domed and folded foot.

The glass is in overall excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration. There is a small (1/4" by 1/8") manufacturing flaw in the side of the bowl, shown in extreme closeup in the 4th photo. The flaw can be seen and felt on both sides, but in not broken...

An uncommon miniature portrait, done in oil on copper, of a member of a Scandinavian royal family. The gentleman, wearing a red coat and blue tunic, is shown 3/4 length in a field.

The condition is good, with some scattered small losses, and looks better in person than the photo shows. Presented in its beautiful original bronze frame. Sight size is 3 1/4" by 2 1/2" and the frame size is 5" by 4 1/4".

The sitter, a blue-eyed blonde powder haired woman who is coquettishly toying with a long lock of her hair, is gloriously decked out in a very low cut white gown with a red shawl. The gown is partially held up by a long strand of diamond and gold jewelry with a matching bracelet on her left arm. Farther up that arm the sleeve of the gown is cinched by a diamond and pearl brooch. A pearl bracelet circles her right arm.

A Bow porcelain creamer featuring three oriental figures. There is a small bruise on the inside of the spout, some kiln roughness to the rim, and the body has rubbing in the white undecorated areas. The height is 3".

A nicely painted miniature painting of a blue-eyed gentleman wearing a black tie, coat and black silk vest. The artist has chosen a nice blue background, complementing the sitter's eyes.

The condition of the painting the case are excellent. The spots on the painting are bits of dust, and the lighter color black along the inner edges of the coat are intentionally painted that way. The case size is 2 3/4" by 2 3/8".

A beautiful Bow shallow bowl painted in the famille rose manner with rockwork, bamboo, flowers and foliage. Purchased over 15 years ago and retaining the label of Mercury Antiques, a well-known and respected London porcelain dealer.

A rare and interesting anti Jacobite Irish glass with a funnel bowl and straight stem.

The bowl is engraved "Inny Cavalry", referring to a cavalry regiment in the British Army, first raised in 1689 (and later fighting against the Jacobites) in the town of Enniskillen as Sir Albert Cunningham's Regiment of Dragoons. A charming and simple creamer, very probably Longton Hall porcelain and painted by the Trembly Rose painter. There is a museum accession number on the base.

The condition is very good, with no cracks, chips, or paint loss to speak of. There is a tiny, tight clay split at the juncture of the spout and the body, truly of no importance. The height is 3 3/8".

A superb example of a sand core dark blue glass oenochoe of Greek or Egyptian origin. The pear-shaped jug has a trefoil mouth, convex handle, and a round splayed foot. The central part of the body is decorated with a spiral yellow thread above a yellow zig-zag motif, below which is a turquoise zig zag section above another spiral yellow thread. The rim of the mouth and the foot are decorated with a yellow border.

A fine in-period Kangxi saucer with two dragons. The reverse with a Ming dynasty mark which is not uncommonly found on legitimate Kangxi pieces.
