An extremely rare triple series opaque twist (TSOT) English glass wine goblet. The capacious round funnel bowl is above a stem that has a pair of 8 ply spiral bands outside of a central solid spiral core surrounded by a spiral gauze. This configuration, with 3 distinct twists, is so uncommon that L. M. Bickerton, in his classic book, did not even address the question of triple series opaque twists.

The glass stands 7 1/4" tall, with a bowl diameter of 3 5/16" and a foot diameter of 3 3/8"...

An uncommon heavy baluster wine glass with a strong presence and stance. The flared bell bowl has a trapped air tear in the bottom, while the stem has an extremely large ball knop with a large tear. A superb and true English heavy baluster goblet, having a round funnel bowl with a solid base containing a small tear. Just below the bowl the stem begins with a large, teared, triple annular knop, continuing into a teared straight section above a basal knop, all above a domed foot.

This wonderful example has a gutsy presence, standing 7 1/16" tall, with a bowl diameter of 3 1/8" and a foot diameter of 3 1/2". Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restoration...

A beautifully executed English lead wine glass with a round funnel bowl engraved and polished with a butterfly, grapes, and vines. A straight hollow stem leads to a domed and folded foot with a rough pontil. An almost identical example is shown in Plate 78g of Haynes.

An English sweetmeat glass of exceptionally elegant form, the flared cup bowl with moulded flutes on an 8 sided teared Silesian stem with three basal collars above a domed moulded foot. 6 5/8 inches tall, with a bowl diameter of 4 1/8 inches and a foot diameter of 3 1/3 inches. Note: Single series opaque twist stems are less common than double series opaque twist stems (DSOT).

This is an elegant SSOT, or single series opaque twist English antique drinking, or wine, glass. It has a drawn trumpet bowl and the stem has a beautifully fashioned enamel spiral gauze. Single series opaque twists are considerably rarer than double series twists. The conical foot has a rough, snapped pontil.

A striking Newcastle Light Baluster (NLB) drinking glass, featuring a round funnel bowl finely engraved with the arms of George III. The stem has 3 knops leading into a central tear-filled knop followed by an additional 3 knops. Conical foot with rough, snapped pontil.

The glass stands a goodly 7 1/2" tall, with a bowl diameter of 3 1/8" and a foot diameter of 3 1/16". Good color and tool marks, in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

An elegant and very unusual wine glass with a double shoulder collar and a single basal collar. This form is accepted as being Scottish, rather than English, making it rarer. The funnel bowl has leaves and acorns engraved around the rim, the stem with a pair of spiral threads around a lace twists.

It is very unusual to find a true set of 18th century lead glass English roehmers, even in the green color which is the most common. To find this deep and beautiful amethyst color set was truly exceptional.

The Victoria and Albert Museum has a virtually identical piece, their catalog number C.2571925, and described the engraving as most likely referencing a Jacobite hunting club.

A superb, rare, and beautifully engraved English George II wine glass of lead metal. A drawn trumpet bowl tops a teared stem above a folded foot. The fine quality engraving shows a pair of rampant lions flanking the coat of arms of Amsterdam, on the reverse the Latin phrase Vivat Amsterdam (May Amsterdam Long Survive).
