A striking engraved and flashed beaker depicting a woman on a plinth in a classical Roman robe, holding laurel wreaths, with classical buildings and an eagle on a column Underneath this is engraved in German: "Those who put forth the effort will receive the prizes." The flashed lower part of the beaker features cut semi-roundels and other cutting above a scalloped base with a cross-hatched cut bottom. Condition is excellent except for some relatively minor chips on the base underside. 5 3/4" tall, 3 1/2" diameter bowl, 3 3/8" diameter foot. |
